BIOGRAPHY

Amanda Quirke Hand is Of Counsel to the Firm and is Florida Bar Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law.  Ms. Hand is a former Assistant City Attorney of the City of Miami, and was primarily responsible for all planning, zoning, building, historic preservation and public works related matters.  Ms. Hand advised the land use and historic preservation boards at all public hearings, and drafted and approved legislation.  At the time she was at the City of Miami, the City was in the early years of the implementation of Miami 21, a form based code.  She assisted in the interpretation of the new form based code, and assisted with the drafting and implementation of amendments to the code.  Ms. Hand also handles all levels of land use and zoning dispute- from administrative appeals to circuit court writs and litigation and subsequent appeals. She acts as special counsel to the City of Miami and the City of Miami Beach on conflict or specialized matters, as well as representing private parties on all types of matters related to the ownership and transfer of real property.
